Report: Spurs reignite interest in £54k-p/w star Barcelona wanted, Mourinho makes Levy demand
Having first been interested in Real Sociedad striker Willian Jose back in the January transfer window earlier this year, it looks as though Tottenham are once again after the Brazilian.
According to Spanish publication El Desmarque, the £54k-per-week star is back on the radar of the north London side, with Spurs boss Jose Mourinho demanding Daniel Levy to bring in a new centre-forward in these next few weeks.

The report further adds that Sociedad are more inclined to let Jose go this time around, as they are planning on bringing in Sevilla’s Carlos Fernandez themselves, and need to raise some much-needed cash.
Despite not enjoying the most prolific of campaigns – he scored just 11 goals in 41 games across all competitions – Jose was even of interest to Barcelona earlier this calendar year.
Should Spurs go back in for Willian Jose?
As someone to potentially just provide back-up to Harry Kane, the Brazilian wouldn’t be the worst signing in the world, but he certainly isn’t the kind of clinical striker who Mourinho would feel confident of leading Spurs’ attack for a consistent run of games.
The Lilywhites would surely be better off bringing in a more reliable goal-scorer to help ease the burden on Kane, rather than spend it on someone who will turn 29 later this year, and didn’t enjoy the greatest of seasons.
