Nicole Kidman has shared her love for Australian BMX rider Logan Martin after he won gold at the Tokyo Olympics on Sunday.

The actress, 54, took to Instagram after the sportsmans triumph to post a picture of herself wearing a T-shirt from her 1983 film BMX Bandits, with the title emblazoned across it.

The star could be seen giving a thumbs-up as she showed her support for her fellow countryman.

She captioned the image: Congratulations from this BMX Bandit to @LoganMartinBMX for winning the first-ever Olympic Gold Medal for #FreestyleBMX!

Logan became the first BMX freestyler to win a gold medal last week.

The sports star took to Instagram to celebrate his win at the weekend, posting a picture of himself with his medal.

He wrote: I WON THE FIRST EVER OLYMPIC GOLD MEDAL FOR FREESTYLE BMX

So grateful! The amount of support Ive received this past week has been amazing! I honestly appreciate all the messages and comments, you guys are the best!!

This is by far the biggest win in my career and I cant believe I can say I have an Olympic gold medal! I LOVE YOU GUYS.

Screen star Nicole made her film debut in BMX Bandits at the age of 16 in 1983 before going on to become a Hollywood heavyweight.

The film tells the story of a group of friends who are BMX enthusiasts but become embroiled with some gangsters.

Meanwhile, Nicole sported a trendy pixie hairdo as she posed under a rainbow in her celebratory Instagram post after getting the chop for her new Apple TV series Roar.

The star debuted her new hairstyle on social media last week when she posted a picture of herself on set.

The eight-part Apple TV series is based on Cecelia Aherns collection of 30 short stories published in 2018, with each darkly comedic feminist tale exploring womens experiences and perspectives.
